The Heart Behind The Spiritual Habits Project
The Spiritual Habits Project was born out of a simple conviction: spiritual growth doesn’t happen by accident.
In our busy, distracted world, many of the practices that once shaped faithful Christian lives have slowly been crowded out.
This project exists to help ordinary Christians rediscover the spiritual disciplines – not as a burden, “another thing to do” or a spiritual checklist, but as life-giving rhythms that help faith grow deep, steady roots in everyday life.
The spiritual disciplines are simple practices – but they carry deep power. When practised consistently, they help us hear God’s voice more clearly, trust him more deeply and walk with him more closely.
The Spiritual Habits Project exists to help make these practices part of everyday Christian life once again.

Walking The Way Together
My Story
I’ve been a Christian for over 40 years – I came to faith when I was just 4 years old. I grew up in a Christian household and I was taught to pray, read my bible, worship God, go to church, memorise Scripture and many other spiritual disciplines – long before I knew they were called spiritual disciplines!
But something happened in my late teens that was to change my life forever. I was at a Christian conference, and I happened to pick up a book called Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster… I absolutely devoured that book – it had a huge impact on my own spiritual growth and sparked a lifelong passion for the spiritual disciplines.
Of course, like most Christians, I’ve had seasons of distraction, busyness and inconsistency…

But each time, in his grace, God has drawn me back and shown me the immense joy and incredible spiritual growth that comes when we make space for him in everyday life through these simple, faithful practices that Christians have relied on for centuries.
Fast forward nearly three decades and on 26th November 2025, God began to speak to me… In a way he has never spoken to me before. He revealed to me a new project that he wanted me to start: a hub of resources to help ordinary Christian rediscover and grow in the spiritual disciplines. And so TSHP was born!

A Line I Hold Onto
